ELEMENTARY INFORMATION:

Notification of Acceptance: Applications will be reviewed and families will be notified periodically throughout the spring. We anticipate camper spots to be filled by mid-April.  Some grades fill early, so apply as soon as possible!

Camp Dates:

Session 1: June 5th - 23rd

Session 2: June 26th - July 20th

Tuition:

Session 1 - $375

Session 2 (full) - $500

Session 2 (ESY - qualifying ESY students attending school in USD383.) - $320

Discounted Rates:  While there may be funds availble to offer tuition assistance, we would like to encourage families to help fundraise for camp as well. Once you have applied for your student, you will be sent a welcome backet that includes resources to help you collect donations/fundraise. These funds would go directly towards your student's tuition costs. We are excited to offer families these options this year!

Below is the application form for Summer Camp 2023. We require you to fill this form out online and submit a reservation payment of $100 to reserve your spot in camp. The reservation payment ($100 per child) should be dropped off or mailed to Flint Hills Summer Fun Camp:

Payments:
Flint Hills Summer Fun Camp
Attn: Ryan Smallwood
Eisenhower Middle School
800 Walters Dr.
Manhattan, KS 66502

Please note:

  • In addition to the information below, we must also have accompanying IEP information with your application (if applicable) to reserve your spot. Email IEPs to Ashley Eckelberry (ashleye@usd383.org), or drop off/mail to Ashley Eckelberry (300 Griffith Drive, Manhattan, KS 66502).
  • We will conduct an interview with the classroom teacher/school staff to make placements appropriately as needed.
  • Camp staff will contact you directly with acceptance into our program. Camp staff reserves the right for appropriate placement to ensure best outcomes for all campers.
  • If your child requires one-on-one para support outside of what is provided through ESY (if qualifying), families are responsible for the cost of the para in addition to tuition. The rate is $10/hour.

Your reservation fee will be deposited and used toward your tuition costs once your child has been accepted. We will do our best to place as many children as possible in our program, but know that we may not have enough spots for every applicant. We do our best to create classrooms with a balance of peer models and children with special needs, genders, ages, and abilities. After acceptance, families will be provided with final enrollment paperwork to complete for camp.

Once your application is submitted, you will receive an email to confirm that we have received the application. If you do not receive this email, please submit the form again.
If outside of USD 383, please include school district information above.
Please note: An accurate reporting of para support helps us determine the best placement for your child. Adult to student ratios will be 1:4 or 1:5. If your child needs more support than this ratio provides and another para is needed, you will be responsible for the cost.
Please mark the appropriate tuition rate, based upon your child's lunch rate during the school year. If you are sending more than one child to the elementary camp, a discounted family rate may apply.
Please note there will be no camp on July 4th, and possibly that entire week. To encourage full participation, and provide for a structured environment for our campers, we are unable to offer partial months.
Please select your child's t-shirt size. Students will receive two t-shirts with their enrollment. If you would like to order additional shirts for your child, the cost will be added to the price of tuition.
If you would like to order additional t-shirts for your child or for others, please note the size AND number of shirts here.
As the parent/legal guardian of the above mentioned participant, I understand that I am paying the deposit and agree to pay the agreed tuition amount according to the above levels if my child is accepted into the program.
Checks may be held up to two months and deposited upon notification of acceptance into camp, or returned in the event that a camper does not enroll.
