Upper Grade Camps

Typically, we will offer three opportunities for students in 6th-12th grades.  This summer we will be offering two. The goal of these camps is to provide summer social opportunities for students with autism.  Applications can be completed by visiting our application page.

 

CREATIVE ENCOUNTERS:  For those in 7th-12th grade in the fall of 2020

This camp is a best fit for students with high-functioning autism and peer models.

Discover more about yourself in all dimensions! Expand your own creativity in the arts: writing, science, film, drama, visual art, music, and dance.  Explore your creativity through teamwork and cooperative projects. Learn more about creative problem-solving in the social sphere.  If there is interest, we may even do some volunteer work to contribute to a better, more creative Manhattan community.  

Monday — Friday 12:00 - 3:00

June 14 - July 16 at KSU Theater and Drama Classroom

Cost: $250 (scholarships available)

Max: 10 Students 

Teacher: TBA, MA candidate in drama therapy from Kansas State University

SOCIAL ADVENTURES:  For those in 7th-12th grade in the fall of 2020

This camp is a best fit for students with autism and other special needs who need more support.  

Develop friendships! Learn how to hold conversations! Explore ways of building relationships. We will work with video, art, games, and other creative ways to learn about how to work and have fun with others.  

Monday - Friday 12:00-2:30
